Wenceslas Square is a bustling area with an array of traditional restaurants, fashionable bars and clubs. It is a great place for shopping. This popular artery is named after king Wenceslas and houses his statue.
The National Museum stands at the top of Wenceslas Square and dominated the entire area. The building in which is set this museum is a fine example of neo-renaissance style. The museum exhibits mineralogical, zoological, paleontological and Anthropological collections.
Prague State Opera opened in 1888 and was originally named the German Theatre. It presents many performances including operas and ballets from Verdi, Tchaikovsky, Puccini, Rossini, Donizetti and Prokofiev.
The Old Town Square is bordered with ancient buildings and magnificent churches. It is considered as one of the most beautiful sights in Europe. This Square was built in the late 12th century and was first used as Prague's market place.
Charles Bridge construction started in 1357. This Gothic stone bridge connects the old town and Mala Strana. It is a one of Prague's must see attractions with Czech artists, musicians and souvenir vendors.
